The Signature Room opened September 2, 1956 at 301 Geary St (corner of Powell). According to
San Francisco Public Library Milton F. Kreis had similar stores in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs. Its glass facade rendered a dark backdrop which worked
well for the many portraits Selle caught as people came and went - or just looked into - this popular eatery.
